Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray him to them. And when they heard it they were glad, and promised to give him money. So he sought an opportunity to betray him.

Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and they plotted to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him. But they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be a riot among the people."

And they led Jesus to the high priest; and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes were assembled. But Peter followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. For many bore false witness against him, but their testimonies did not agree. You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" And they all condemned him as worthy of death. Then some began to spit on him, and to blindfold him, and to beat him, and to say to him, "Prophesy!" And the guards received him with slaps in the face. Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came.

And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to kill him, for they feared the people. Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, who was numbered of the twelve. So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and officers, how he might betray him to them. read more.
And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. So he consented, and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of the multitude.

As soon as it was day, the council of the elders of the people came together, both chief priests and scribes; and they led him away to their council chamber, saying, "If you are the Christ, tell us." Then the whole body of them arose and led him to Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man perverting our nation and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ, a king."

But they cried out, "Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no King but Caesar." Then he handed him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus.
