Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the high priests to betray him to them. They were delighted to hear it, and promised to pay him for it. Meantime he sought a good opportunity for betraying him.

Then they yelled, "Off with him! Off with him! Crucify him!" "Crucify your king?" said Pilate. The high priests retorted, "We have no king but Caesar!" Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus,
