The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. More to be desired are they than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy slave warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.

The place was called the brook Eshcol because of the cluster of grapes which the sons of Israel cut down from there.
