And to the angel of the congregation in Philadelphia write; These things, saith he that is Holy and True, he who has the key of David, who opens and no one shuts and shuts, and no one opens;

When once the husband of the house is risen up and shall have shut the door, and ye begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not from where ye are,

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those that were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.





And at the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive wood; the lintel and side posts had five sides. The two doors were of olive wood, and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers and overlaid them with gold and covered the cherubims and the palm trees with gold. The two doors were of fir; the two sides of the one door were rounded, and the two leaves of the other door were rounded. And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.


And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin and touch the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.


And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house and upon thy gates


As the door turns upon his hinges, so does the slothful upon his bed.
