Ark » In the tabernacle. Called the ark » Place of
And before the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was lying down to sleep;
That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.
And you shall hang up the veil from the clasps, that you may bring in there within the veil the ark of the testimony: and the veil shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
For there was a tabernacle made; the first, in which was the lampstand, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the sanctuary. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while the first tabernacle was yet standing:
