He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He takes the wise in their own prudence, and the counsel of his adversaries is turned to folly. They meet with darkness in the daytime and grope in the noonday as in the night.

With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; with a perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect; with the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the perverse thou wilt show thyself adversary.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD; but his secret is with the righteous.

The evil man flatters his neighbour and leads him into the way that is not good. He shuts his eyes to devise perverse things; moving his lips he brings evil to pass.
The lips of the righteous shall know the will of God, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perversion.
