Then the LORD said unto Abram, "Get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred; and out of thy father's house, into a land which I will show thee. And I will make of thee a mighty people, and will bless thee, and make thy name great, that thou mayst be a blessing. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee. And in thee shall be blessed all the generations of the earth."
But I took your father Abraham from the other side of the water, and brought him into the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

And that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "Unto thy seed will I give this land, from the river of Egypt, even unto the great river Euphrates: the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Giants, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites."

If there be any uncircumcised manchild, that hath not the foreskin of his flesh cut off, his soul shall perish from his people: because he hath broken my covenant." Neither are they all children straightway because they are the seed of Abraham: But in Isaac shall thy seed be called, that is to say; They which are the children of the flesh, are not the children of God.
