Children are an inheritance from Jehovah. They are a blessing from him.

Esau looked around and saw the women and the children. He asked: Who are these people with you? Jacob answered: These are the children whom God has been good enough to give me.

People were bringing little children to him so he could touch them. His disciples turned them away. But when Jesus saw it he was moved with indignation. He said: Allow the little children to come to me! Do not turn them away for they belong to the kingdom of God. They brought all their babes to him that he should touch them. When the disciples saw it they rebuked them. Jesus said: Invite the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them for the kingdom of God belongs to them. Truly I tell you he who does not receive the kingdom of God like little child, shall in no wise enter it.

He took a little child and put him in the middle of them. He said: Truly I tell you, if you do not have a change of heart and become like little children, you will not go into the kingdom of heaven. He put a little child in the middle of them and taking him in his arms he said to them: Whoever receives a little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.

When Jesus detected the reasoning of their heart, he took a little child, and set him by his side. Then he said to them: Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. He who is least among you will be the greatest!

He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. Anyone who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward. Do not treat these little ones badly. I tell you that angels represent them in the presence of my Father in heaven.

Brothers, do not be like children in understanding. When it comes to evil be innocent children but in your thinking be mature adults.

Like newborn infants, long for the spiritual milk that is without deception to help you grow to salvation. You have tasted that the Lord is kind.

When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, and reason like a child. When I became an adult I did away with childish things.

Everyone who drinks milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

Honor your father and your mother, as Jehovah your God commands you and your days will be prolonged and things will go well with you, in the land Jehovah gives you.

Listen to me, my children: for blessed are those who practice my ways.

Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise. Then it will go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.

He who causes one of my faithful little ones to stumble is in trouble. It would be better for him to end up in the deep sea with a great stone tied to his neck.

Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck and he were cast into the sea.

These people are rebellious and deceitful children. They refuse to listen to Jehovah's Law.

If you and your children return to Jehovah your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your being, doing everything I command you today,

My son, respect Jehovah and the king. Do not associate with those who want to change things.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you.

Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh that corrected us, and we gave them respect. Shall we not much more be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

Respect your mother and father. Observe my days of worship. I am Jehovah your God!

My son, obey your father's command, and do not abandon the law of your mother:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.

But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show righteousness towards their own family, and to repay their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

Show respect to the elderly, and honor older people. In this way you show respect for your God. I am Jehovah.

Likewise, you younger men, be subject to the older men. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and serve one another. God resists the proud, but gives loving kindness to the humble.

I said to their children in the desert: Do not live by the laws of your ancestors. Do not obey their rules or dishonor yourselves with their disgusting idols.
