Why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? Why didst thou say, She is my sister? I might have taken her to me to wife; now, therefore, behold thy wife, take her, and go away. Then Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they sent him away and his wife with all that he had.

Thus Abram went up out of Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had and Lot with him into the Negev.

If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we stay here, we shall die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians; if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

And yet indeed, she is also my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
