O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake thee shall be put to shame. Those who depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken LORD, the fountain of living waters.

Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, nor will he uphold the evil-doers. He will yet fill thy mouth with laughter, and thy lips with shouting. Those who hate thee shall be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked shall be no more.

But ye who forsake LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who fill up mingled wine to Destiny, I will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter. Because when I called, ye did not answer, when I spoke, ye did not hear, but ye did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I did not deli Therefore thus says lord LORD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry. Behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty. Behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame.

He who corrects a scoffer gets himself reviling. And he who reproves a wicked man [gets] himself a bruise.

Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I have called upon thee. Let the wicked be put to shame. Let them be silent in Sheol.

They shall be turned back, they shall be utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, Ye are our gods.

What profits the graven image, that the maker of it has engraved it, the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make dumb idols? Woe to him who says to the wood, Awake, to the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not. They have eyes, but they see not. They have ears, but they hear not. They have noses, but they smell not. read more.
They have hands, but they handle not. They have feet, but they walk not, nor do they speak through their throat. Those who make them shall be like them. Yea, everyone who trusts in them.

They shall be turned back, they shall be utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, Ye are our gods.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not. They have eyes, but they see not. They have ears, but they hear not, nor is there any breath in their mouths. read more.
