The LORD's face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,' says the LORD, 'who steal my words everyone from his neighbor. Behold, I am against the prophets,' says the LORD, 'who use their tongues, and say, "He says." Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams,' says the LORD, 'and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I did not send them, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all,' says the LORD.
Thus says the Lord GOD, "Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing. Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places. They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, "The LORD says"; but the LORD has not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed. I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness. I will set fir trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;
Those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
For the LORD has comforted Zion; he has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like the crocus.
