"But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. For truly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and did not see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them.

The heart of the discerning gets knowledge. The ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, The LORD has made even both of them.

Therefore when Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Woman, look, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Look, your mother." From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.

He said to the near kinsman, "Naomi, who has come back out of the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's. I thought to disclose it to you, saying, 'Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.' Then Boaz said, "On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance."

Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,

and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great."

for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.

But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not proclaim, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different "good news", which you did not accept, you put up with that well enough.

Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

For it happened, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

But when he saw the crowds, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter; for there was none shut up nor left at large, neither was there any helper for Israel.

Like a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him. For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust.

Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.

"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come a long way."

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, "Do not cry."

I waited patiently for the LORD. He turned to me, and heard my cry.

It shall happen that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

Israel, return to the LORD your God; for you have fallen because of your sin. Take words with you, and return to the LORD. "I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him.

David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has put away your sin. You will not die.

But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one. For "who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

But she is happier if she stays as she is, in my judgment, and I think that I also have God's Spirit.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.

But from there you shall seek the LORD your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
