Sing praise to LORD, O ye sanctified of his, and give thanks to his holiness. For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy [is] in the morning.

LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. He will not always chide, nor will he keep [it] forever.

Through the wrath of LORD of hosts is the land burnt up, and the people are as the fuel of fire; no man spares his brother. And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry. And he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied. For who has stood in the council of LORD, that he should perceive and hear his word? Who has marked my word, and heard it? Behold, the tempest of LORD, wrath, has gone forth, yea, a whirling tempest.
