Then the high priest rent his garments, saying, "He blasphemed! What further need have we of witnesses? Behold, ye just now heard the blasphemy!

Ye heard the blasphemy: what think ye?" And they all condemned Him to be worthy of death.

The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we stone Thee not, but for blasphemy, and because, Thou, being a Man, makest Thyself God!" And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is This that is speaking blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God only?"

And, answering Jesus, they said, "We do not know." He also said to them, "Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things."
