"If you are righteous, what do you give to Him, Or what does He receive from your hand? "Your wickedness is for a man like yourself, And your righteousness is for a son of man.

"Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, And caused the dawn to know its place, That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?

O LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You think of him? Man is like a mere breath; His days are like a passing shadow.


Yet You have made him a little lower than God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!
