Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two hearing from John, and follows Him; he first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found Messiah, which is being interpreted, Christ. He led him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said; Thou art Simon the Son of Jonah, thou shalt be called Cephas (which is interpreted, Peter). On the following day he wished to depart into Galilee, and he finds Philip. And Jesus says to him; Follow me. Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip finds Nathanael and says to him, We have found Him, of whom Moses and the prophets, in the law, did write, Jesus the son of Joseph, who is from Nazareth.
