The day following, Jesus wished to go into Galilee; and he found Philip, and said to him: Follow me. Now, Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathaniel, and said to him: We have found him of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the SOD of Joseph. And Nathaniel said to him: Can any thing good come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him: Come and see. Jesus saw Nathaniel coming to him, and said of him: Be hold, an Israelite in truth, in whom there is no guile. Nathaniel said to him: How knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him: Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig-tree, I saw you.
