This said he, not that he cared for the poor: but because he was a thief, and kept the bag, and bare that which was given. Then said Jesus, "Let her alone, against the day of my burying she kept it. The poor always shall ye have with you, but me shall ye not always have." Much people of the Jews had knowledge that he was there. And they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also whom he raised from death.
