And they consulted together, and bought with them the potters field, for a burialplace for strangers. Wherefore that field hath been called, The Field of Blood, unto this day. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was priced, whom they of the sons of Israel priced, and gave them for the potters field; as the Lord commanded me."

Brethren, it was necessary that this scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit through the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus.
