You yourselves are to be witnesses to all this. And now I am myself about to send upon you that which my Father has promised. But you must remain in the city until you have been invested with power from above."

In the evening of the same day--the first day of the week-- after the doors of the room, in which the disciples were, had been shut for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said: "Peace be with you"; After which he showed them his hands and his side.
