I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gayest me to do. And now glorify thou me, Father, with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gayest me out of the world; they were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word. and preached, saying, After me comes one mightier than I, the strings of whose shoes I am not fit to stoop down and untie; I have baptized you with water, but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
John testified of him, and cried, saying, This is the one of whom I said, He that comes after me existed before me, for he was before me.
I indeed baptize you with water to a change of mind; but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not fit to bear; he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and fire; whose winnowing shovel is in his hand, and he will thoroughly clean his threshing floor, and gather his wheat into the storehouse; but the chaff he will burn with an inextinguishable fire.

And John also was baptizing at AEnon, near Salim, because there were many waters there; and they came and were baptized, for John was not yet cast into prison. Then there was a controversy of the disciples of John with a Jew concerning purification. read more.

There is another who testifies of me, and I know that the testimony which he testifies of me is true. You sent to John, and he testified to the truth;
And many came to him and said, John performed no miracle, but all things which John said of this man were true.
And when John completed his course, he said, Who do you suppose I am? I am not [the Christ]; but behold, there comes after me one the sandal of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.

He that loves me not, keeps not my words; and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's that sent me. I have said these things to you while yet continuing with you, read more.

Then said Jesus to them again, I tell you most truly, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep have not heard them. I am the door; by me if any one enters in he shall be saved, and go in and out, and find pasturage. read more.
The thief comes not, except to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. But the hired servant, and one who is not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf seizes and scatters them; for he is a hired servant and cares not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I give my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; and them I must lead, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one flock, one shepherd. Therefore my Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again.
