Jesus seeing him lying, and knowing that he had now been sick a long time, said to him, Do you wish to become well? The sick man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is disturbed, to put me into the pool; but while I am coming another goes down before me. Jesus said to him, Arise, take up your bed and walk. And the man immediately became well, and took up his bed and walked. That day was the sabbath.
