And when the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were troubled and said, It is an apparition; and they cried out for fear. But Jesus immediately spoke to them, saying, Be of good courage; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered and said to him, Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters. And he said, Come. And Peter going down from the ship walked on the waters to go to Jesus. But seeing the wind strong he was afraid; and beginning to sink, cried, saying, Lord save me! and Jesus immediately stretching out his hand, took hold of him and said, Man of little faith, why did you doubt? And when they entered into the ship, the wind ceased; and those in the ship came and worshipped him; saying, Truly you are the Son of God.

And seeing him walking on the lake, they thought it was an apparition, and cried out, for they all saw and were troubled. And he went up to them into the ship, and the wind ceased, and they were astonished in themselves above measure, and wondered; for they understood not concerning the bread, for their heart was hardened.
