Then Jesus said, When you may lift up the Son of man, then you shall know that I am He, and I do nothing of myself, but as the Father has taught me, I speak the same things. And He responded to them, My Father worketh until now, and I work. Therefore the Jews the more sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but said that God was His Father, making himself equal to God. For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth Him all things which He doeth; and will show Him greater things than these, in order that you may be astonished.

No one hath ascended up into heaven, but the one having come down from heaven, the Son of man, who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so does it behoove the Son of man to be lifted up:

On the following day the multitude standing beyond the sea saw that there was no other ship there, except one, and that Jesus did not go along with His disciples into the ship, but His disciples went away alone (other ships came from Tiberias near the place where they ate the bread, the Lord having given thanks). The Spirit is the One who creates life; the flesh profits nothing; the words which I have spoken unto you are spirit and life. But there are certain ones of you who do not believe.
