But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning unto salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth; unto which He also called you through our gospel, unto the possession of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
the one having saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the eternal times,
Of his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we should be some first fruit of his creations.
