Then judges shall make a thorough inquiry, and [if] it turns out that the witness is a false witness [and] he testified falsely against his brother, then you shall do to him as he meant to do to his brother, and so you shall purge the evil from your midst. {And the rest} shall hear and shall fear, and {they shall not continue to do such a thing again} as this evil thing in your midst. {You must show no pity}: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot."
"Now if your brother sins against you, go correct him between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take with you in addition one or two [others], so that by {the testimony} of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.
So the Pharisees said to him, "You testify concerning yourself! Your testimony is not true." Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I testify concerning myself, my testimony is true, because I know where I have come from and where I am going. But you do not know where I have come from or where I am going. You judge according to externals; I do not judge anyone. read more.
