I have asked one thing from Jehovah. This I will seek: to live in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to look at Jehovah's beauty and search for an answer in his temple.
The inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, 'Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah, and to seek Jehovah of Hosts; I will go also.
One day in your courtyards is better than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
([Psalm of Korah]) How lovely are your dwelling places, O Jehovah of Hosts! How I want to be there! I long to be in Jehovah's temple. With my whole being I sing for joy to the living God. Even small birds have built a nest, and the swallows have their own home. They keep their young near your altars O Jehovah my king and my God.
