On the third day they found him sitting in the Temple, among the Rabbis, both listening to them and asking questions. All that heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. When they saw him they were astonished, and his mother said to him "Child, why have you treated us so? Behold your father and I have been looking for you in anguish." He answered, "Why is it that you have been looking for me, did you not realize that I had to be in my Father's house?" But they did not understand the words that he spoke to them. Then he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and he was always obedient to them. But his mother kept treasuring up all these incidents in her hearts. And Jesus was ever advancing in wisdom and in status and in favor with God and man.
