In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was face to face with God, and the Word was God. He was face to face with God in the Beginning. All things came into being through him, and apart from him nothing that exists came into being.
And the Word became flesh and tented with us. And we gazed on his glory??lory as of the Father's only Son??ull of grace and truth.
God, who in ancient days spoke to our ancestors in the prophets, at many different times and by various methods, has at the end of these days spoken to us in a Son whom he appointed heir of all things; through whom also he made the universe.
It is of what has existed from the beginning, of what we have listened to, of what we have seen with our own eyes, of what we have witnessed and touched with our own heads, it is concerning the Logos of Life that we are now writing. And the Life was made visible, and we have seen it and are bearing witness, and are bringing you word of that Eternal Life which was face to face with the Father and was made visible to us.
He is clothed in a vesture dipped in blood; and his name is called, THE WORD OF GOD
and at once such a crowd gathered that there was no longer room for them, even around the door.

There are others who are 'sown among thorns.' When they have heard the Word, the anxieties of life and the snares of wealth, and all sorts of other ambitions, come in to choke the Word, so that it proves unfruitful. But those, on the other hand, who were sown on that good soil, are those who listen to the Word, and welcome it, and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold."

On the next Sabbath almost the entire city was gathered together to know the word of God. No more can salt water yield fresh water.
