And many women were there, beholding from afar, who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him; among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

And he, having brought linen cloth, and having taken Him down, wrapped Him in the linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of a rock; and he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb. And Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of Joses, beheld where He was laid.

So, as she was weeping, she stooped to look into the tomb; and she beholds two angels in white, sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Mary Magdalene comes, proclaiming to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that He spake these things to her.

Remember how He spake to you, being yet in Galilee, saying, "The Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again," And they remembered His words; and, returning from the tomb, they reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. Now on the first day of the sabbaths Mary Magdelene comes early in the morning while it was yet dark to the tomb, and sees the stone taken out of the tomb. She runs, therefore, and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and says to them, "They took away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they laid Him!"
