This man, going to Pilate, asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given up.
there came Joseph of Arimathaea, an honorable councillor; who also himself was looking for the Kingdom of God; and boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
And after these things Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly through fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. He came, therefore, and took away His body.
but, when they came to Jesus, and saw that He was already dead, they broke not His legs;
and, not finding His body, they came, saying that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that He was alive!
And, having learned it from the centurion, he granted the Corpse to Joseph.
And the women who had accompanied Him out of Galilee, following after, beheld the tomb, and how His body was laid.
and she beholds two angels in white, sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
