But the news about Him continued to spread, and great crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be cured of their diseases. But Jesus Himself continued His habit of retiring to lonely spots and praying.

When he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him. And a leper came up to Him, and prostrated himself before Him, and said, "Lord, if you choose to, you can cure me." Then He put out His hand and touched him, and said, "I do choose to; be cured." And at once his leprosy was cured. read more.
Then Jesus said to him, "See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and, to testify to the people, make the offering that Moses prescribed."

There came to Him a leper, begging Him on his knees, saying to Him, "If you want to, you can cure me." And His heart was moved with pity for him, so He stretched out His hand and touched him, and said, "I do want to! Be cured!" And the leprosy at once left him, and he was cured. read more.
But Jesus at once drove him out of their presence, and gave him this stringent charge: "See that you tell nobody a single word about it. Be gone, show yourself to the priest, and to prove it to the people, make the offering for your purification which Moses prescribed." But he went out and began to publish it so much and to spread the story so far, that Jesus could not any more go into any town openly, but had to stay out in thinly settled places. But the people kept coming to Him from every quarter.

Now while He was in one of the towns, a man covered with leprosy saw Jesus and fell on his face and begged Him, saying, "Lord, if you choose to, you can cure me." So He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, "I do choose to; be cured." And at once the leprosy left him.
