Great crowds came to him, bringing the crippled, the blind, the maimed, the dumb, and many others. They laid them at his feet and he healed them;

Behold, there came to him a Canaanite woman of those parts. She wailed loudly, saying. "Pity me, Lord, thou Son of David! My daughter is possessed of an evil spirit."

As they reached the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, and fell on his knees before him, saying. "Master, take pity on my son, for he is an epileptic and sore distressed. In reply Jesus said: "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him here to me!" Then Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, and it came out of him; and the boy was cured from that very hour.
