Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd.

Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." But he replied to the man who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" read more.

And he looked at those who sat in a circle around him, and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother."

But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting that he, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. For both he who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
