But Mary stood without near the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept she stooped down to look into the sepulchre; and there seeth two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they said to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid Him.


And they went immediately from the sepulchre, with fear, and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And as they were going to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them and said, God save you. And they drew near and embraced his feet, and worshipped Him. Then saith Jesus unto them, Be not afraid, go tell my brethren to repair into Galilee, and there they shall see me.

And having said this, she turned back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Then said Jesus to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? whom dost thou seek? She thinking that it was the gardener, saith to Him, Sir, if thou hast carried Him hence, tell me where thou hast laid Him, and I will take Him away.
