And they went immediately from the sepulchre, with fear, and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

And when the centurion, and they that were with him guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake, and what was done, they were sore afraid, and said, This was indeed the Son of God. But the other answered and rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God neither, when thou thyself art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due rewards of our deeds, but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus answered him, I assure thee, thou shalt be with me this day in paradise. Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land till the ninth hour.
