For he had healed many, so that all those who {were suffering from diseases} pressed about him in order that they could touch him.

And they were imploring him that they might only touch the edge of his cloak, and all those who touched [it] were cured.

And [as] they were getting out of the boat, [people] recognized him immediately. They ran about [through] that whole region and began to carry around those {who were sick} on stretchers, wherever they heard that he was. And wherever he would go, into villages or into towns or to farms, they would put those who were sick in the marketplaces and would implore him that if they could touch even the edge of his cloak. And all those who touched it were healed.


And immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent away the crowds. And [after he] sent away the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. So [when] evening came, he was there alone. But the boat was already many stadia distant from the land, being beaten by the waves, because the wind was against [it]. read more.
And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But the disciples, [when they] saw him walking on the sea, were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Have courage, I am [he]! Do not be afraid!" And Peter answered him [and] said, "Lord, if {it is you}, command me to come to you on the water!" So he said, "Come!" And getting out of the boat, Peter walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But [when he] saw the strong wind, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus extended his hand [and] caught him and said to him, "[You] of little faith! Why did you doubt?" And [when] they got into the boat, the wind abated. So those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God!" And [after they] had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. And [when] the men of that place recognized him, they sent [word] into that whole surrounding region, and they brought to him all those {who were sick}. And they were imploring him that they might only touch the edge of his cloak, and all those who touched [it] were cured.

And immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself dismissed the crowd. And [after he] had said farewell to them, he went away to the mountain to pray. And [when] evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea and he [was] alone on the land. read more.
And he saw them being beaten in their rowing because the wind was against them. Around the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, and he was wanting to pass by them. But [when] they saw him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out. For they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke with them and said to them, "Have courage, I am [he]! Do not be afraid!" And he went up with them into the boat, and the wind abated. And {they were extraordinarily} astounded within themselves, because they did not understand concerning the loaves, but their hearts were hardened. And [after they] had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and anchored [there]. And [as] they were getting out of the boat, [people] recognized him immediately. They ran about [through] that whole region and began to carry around those {who were sick} on stretchers, wherever they heard that he was. Then Jesus, [because he] knew that they were about to come and seize him in order to make [him] king, withdrew again up the mountain [by] himself alone. Now when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea. And getting into a boat, they began to go to the other side of the sea, to Capernaum. And it had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. read more.
And the sea began to be stirred up [because] a strong wind was blowing. Then [when they] had rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were afraid. But he said to them, "[It] is I! Do not be afraid!" So they were wanting to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat came to the land to which they were going.
