And as they were going out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a demon. And after the demon had been cast out, the dumb man spoke. And the multitudes were astonished, and said: Never was it seen thus in Israel.

And many multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deaf, the maimed, and many others; and laid them at the feet of Jesus, and he cured them; so that the multitudes were astonished, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, and said to it: Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter into him no more. And the spirit cried out, and threw him into strong convulsions, and came out of him; and he was like one dead, so that many said: He is dead.

And Jesus departed thence, and came near the sea of Galilee, and went up into the mountain, and sat there. And they brought to him a deaf man, who spoke with difficulty; and they besought him to lay his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; read more.
and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said to him: Ephphatha, which means, Be opened. And immediately his ears were opened, and the band of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he charged them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more earnestly they published it. And they were amazed beyond measure, and said: He Las done all things well: he makes the deaf hear and the dumb speak.
