therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for their transgressions.




One of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals."

And I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow. A crown was given to him, and he came forth conquering, and to conquer.

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "Look, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit on him. And he will proclaim justice to the nations. He will not strive, nor shout; neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets. read more.
He won't break a bruised reed. And he won't put out a smoldering wick, until he leads justice to victory.









But Jesus, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Many followed him, and he healed them all, and commanded them that they should not make him known: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, read more.

He will not strive, nor shout; neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets. He won't break a bruised reed. And he won't put out a smoldering wick, until he leads justice to victory. And in his name, the nations will hope."

And Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great crowd followed from Galilee, and from Judea, and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great crowd, when they heard what great things he did, came to him. And he told his disciples that a small boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they would not press on him. read more.
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him. And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and shouted, saying, "You are the Son of God." And he sternly warned them that they should not make him known.

"Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street. He won't break a bruised reed. And he won't extinguish a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice. read more.
He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and for his law the coastlands will hope."

While he was still speaking, look, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he who betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, "Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him." Immediately he came to Jesus, and said, "Hail, Rabbi." and kissed him. read more.
Jesus said to him, "Friend, why are you here?" Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear. Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword. Or do you think that I could not ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels? How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?"




Behold, you trust in the staff of this bruised reed, even in Egypt, which if a man leans on it, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

For the LORD will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and he will root up Israel out of this good land which he gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.

Now, behold, you trust in the staff of this bruised reed, even in Egypt. If a man leans on it, it will go into his hand, and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust on him.

And as these went their way, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
