And when the apostles returned, they told him what they had done. Then he took them with him and withdrew apart to a city called Bethsaida.

And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,

And Jesus went on from there and passed along the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain, and sat down there.

After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.

Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,

And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while." For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

From there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house, and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not be hidden.




And Jesus went on from there and passed along the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain, and sat down there. Then great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the mute, and many others; and they laid them down at his feet, and he healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.


And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried to him, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed." But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, "Send her away, for she is crying out after us." He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." read more.
But she came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, help me!" And he answered, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." "Yes, Lord," she said, "yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. And Jesus went on from there and passed along the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain, and sat down there.

But a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an unclean spirit heard about him, and she came and fell at his feet. Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. And he said to her, "Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." read more.
But she answered him, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." Then he said to her, "For this saying you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter." She went home, and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

Great crowds followed himfrom Galilee, and from the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

Now as the people pressed around him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret.

Then they brought to him a man who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged him to put his hand on him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue. read more.
And looking up to heaven he sighed and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened." And [immediately] his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he commanded them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more widely they proclaimed it. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."
