After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,
And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while." For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
From there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house, and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not be hidden.
And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed,

When Jesus went ashore he saw a great throng; and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
And Jesus went on from there and passed along the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain, and sat down there. Then great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the mute, and many others; and they laid them down at his feet, and he healed them. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. And he said to her, "Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." read more.

And looking up to heaven he sighed and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened." And [immediately] his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he commanded them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more widely they proclaimed it. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."
