The gloom will be dispelled for those who were anxious. In earlier times he humiliated the land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali; but now he brings honor to the way of the sea, the region beyond the Jordan, and Galilee of the nations.

and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven."

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. After being warned in a dream, he went to the regions of Galilee.

So these approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, "Sir, we would like to see Jesus."

King Solomon gave King Hiram of Tyre twenty cities in the region of Galilee, because Hiram had supplied Solomon with cedars, evergreens, and all the gold he wanted.

And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee."

So they selected Kedesh in Galilee in the hill country of Naphtali, Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron) in the hill country of Judah.

Then Jesus, in the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and news about him spread throughout the surrounding countryside.

Now when Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean.

Others said, "This is the Christ!" But still others said, "No, for the Christ doesn't come from Galilee, does he?

Then go quickly and tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead. He is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.' Listen, I have told you!"

Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will see me there."

So the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain Jesus had designated. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted.

But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you."
