And whoever will not receive you, nor hear you, when you go out from that place, shake off the dust under your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. And they went out and preached that men should repent; and they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and cured them.

Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they reclined at table; and he reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen. And he said to them: Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is immersed, shall be saved; he that believes not, shall be condemned. read more.
And these signs shall attend those who believe. In my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and, if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. The Lord, therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: and he sat down at the right hand of God. And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest on him; but, if not, it shall return upon you. And in that house remain, eating and drinking what they have to give; for the laborer is worthy of his hire; go not from house to house. And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them: The kingdom of God has come near to you. But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say: Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city.

And he said to them: These are the words that I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled that are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then he opened their mind, that they might understand the scriptures, and he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus was it necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day, read more.
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you. But do you remain in the city of Jerusalem, till you be clothed with power from on high.

When you go into a house, salute it: and if the house be worthy, your peace shall come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace shall return to you. But Jesus said to them: A prophet is not without honor, unless in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house. And he was unable to do any mighty deed there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick persons and cured them; and he wondered at their unbelief.
