As He was walking by the shore of the sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was summed Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And as He was passing along from there, He saw a man named Matthew in his seat at the tax-collector's desk, and He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed Him. While He was at table in the house many tax-collectors and notorious sinners came in and took their seats at table with Jesus and His disciples.

Here are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon, who was named Peter, and his brother Andrew, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John, Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax-collector, James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, Simon the zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who afterward betrayed Him.

Then He went up on the hillside and summoned to Him those whom He wanted, and they went to Him. And He appointed the Twelve, to whom He gave the title, apostles, to be with Him, to send them forth to preach, and to have the right to drive out the demons. read more.
The Twelve whom He appointed were: Peter, the name which He gave to Simon, James the son of Zebedee, and John, James's brother (He named them Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alpheus, Thaddeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him. For at the haul of fish that they had made, bewildering amazement had seized him and all his men, as well as James and John, Zebedee's sons, who were Simon's partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Stop being afraid; from now on you will be catching men." So after they had brought the boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.

When they reached the city, they went to the room upstairs where they had been staying; they were: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
