They complained to Moses and Aaron: If only we had died in Egypt or in this desert! Why is Jehovah bringing us to this land? Is it just to have us die in battle? Our wives and children will be taken as prisoners of war! Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt? They said to each other: Let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt.

The congregation was without water. So they gathered to confront Moses and Aaron. The people complained to Moses. They said: If only we had died when the other Israelites died in Jehovah's presence! Did you bring Jehovah's assembly into this desert just to have us all die and our animals? read more.
