You are blessed O Israel. Who is like you, a people saved by Jehovah? He is the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! So your enemies will cringe before you and you will tread upon their high places.

Let us be sober and put on the breastplate of faith and love; and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

Produce fruit that is worthy of repentance. Do not say we have Abraham for our father. I tell you, that God is able to make these stones into children for Abraham.

He said: Truly I tell you, if you do not have a change of heart and become like little children, you will not go into the kingdom of heaven.

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must also be lifted up. Everyone who has an active faith in him may have everlasting life. God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world. Instead the world should be saved through him. He who has an active faith in him is not judged. He who does not have an active faith has been judged already for he has not had faith in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John the Baptist was in the desert (wilderness) telling people to repent (turn away from sin) and be baptized for forgiveness of sins.

Then Peter said: Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

They were disobedient while the ark was being built. Yet God waited patiently in the days of Noah. But few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water. This was a symbol pointing to baptism, which now saves you. It is not the washing off of bodily dirt, but the promise made to God for a good conscience. It saves you through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Where are the gods that you made for yourselves? Let them come and rescue you when you have trouble. You have as many gods as you have cities, Judah!

Jehovah answered: Did I free you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, and the Philistines? Did I save you from the Sidonians, the Amalekites, and the Maonites? They oppressed you and you cried out to me. You still left me and worshiped other gods. I am not going to rescue you again. read more.
Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen! Let them save you in your time of trouble.

You are powerless in spite of the advice you get. Let your astrologers come forward and save you! Let those people who study the stars, who map out the zones of the heavens tell you from month to month what is going to happen to you.

He will say: 'Where are their gods, the rock in which they sought refuge? Who ate the fat of their sacrifices? Who drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you. Let them be your hiding place!

Joseph had this in mind when God's angel appeared to him in a dream. The angel said to him: Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is pregnant by Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus (Jehovah (YHWH) is salvation), because he will save his people from their sins.

Faithful is the saying, and worthy of acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.

When his disciples James and John saw this they said: Lord, do you want us to request fire from heaven to consume them? He turned and rebuked them. They went to another village.

Finally it dawned on him, my father's hired workers have more than they can eat and I am about to starve! I will go to my father and say: 'Father I have sinned against God and against you. I am not fit to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired workers.' He went to his father. He was a long way from home when his father saw him. His heart filled with pity. He ran and threw his arms around his son and kissed him. Father, the son said: 'I have sinned against God and against you. I am not fit to be called your son.' The father called his servants. He said: 'Hurry and bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet. Get the prize calf and kill it. Let us celebrate with a feast! My son was dead. He brought them out and asked: Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Make your face shine on me (smile on me) (show me favor) (be kind and merciful to me). Save me in your loving-kindness.

([Psalm of David]) Save me, O God, by your name, and judge me by your strength.

Say: Rescue us, O God our Salvation. Gather us and save us from the nations that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.

When I am in trouble, I call out to you because you answer me.

He that did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things?

Jesus answered: If you know the gift of God and who asked you for a drink, you would have asked him to give you living water.

For God loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever has an active faith in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift from God is everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But the two are not the same, because God's gift (spiritual endowment) is not like Adam's sin. It is true that many people died because of the sin of that one man. But God's grace is much greater, and so is his gift to so many people through the loving-kindness of the one man, Jesus Christ.

It is God's desire that all men have salvation and come to the full (precise) (accurate) (correct) knowledge (Greek: epignosis: recognition, discernment) of the truth.

It will come to pass, that whoever will call on the name of Jehovah will be saved. (Joel 2:32)

The result of one trespass was condemnation for all men. The result of righteousness was justification (acquittal), which brings life for all men.

Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness. He is longsuffering (patient) toward you. He does not wish that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

For the grace (divine influence) of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present age (world) (period of time).

From childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to make you wise to salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus.

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and have active faith in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

This is the wisdom of God that the world through its wisdom did not come to know God. God was well pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

You will be saved through the good news if you hold fast to the word I preached to you. That way you will not believe in vain.

This is what Jehovah says: In the time of favor I will answer you. I will appoint you as my promise to the people. You will restore the land. You will make them inherit the desolate inheritance.

For he said: At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation!

For this reason let all godly people pray to you when you may be found. Then raging floodwater will not reach them.

But as for me, my prayer is to you, Jehovah, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.

For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today hear His voice!

You need to know that God has sent his salvation to people who are not Jews. They will listen.

This was according to the words of Isaiah the prophet: The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make ready the way of Jehovah. Make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled. Every mountain and hill shall be brought low. The crooked shall become straight and the rough ways smooth. All flesh shall see the salvation of God. (Isaiah 40:3-6)

Jehovah has made his salvation known. He has uncovered his righteousness for the nations to see.

Jehovah says: Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.

Remember the former things, the things of long ago. I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.' I summon a bird of prey from the east. I summon a man to fulfill my purpose from a far off land. What I have said I will bring about. What I have determined (purposed) I will do. read more.
Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are far from righteousness. I bring near my righteousness. It is not far away. My salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel.

But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to that law. Why? It is because it was not based on the principle of faith, but on that of works. I ask has God rejected his people? Certainly not! I also am an Israelite, a descendant of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he first knew. Do you remember what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he made intercession to God against Israel? Jehovah, they have killed your prophets, and torn down your altars. But rather through their fall into sin salvation has come to the nations. This will provoke them to jealousy. Now if their fall into sin means riches to the world, and their decrease means riches of the nations how much more will their full number mean? I speak to you people of the nations. For I am the apostle to the nations and I glorify (honor) (praise) (celebrate) my ministry. If by any means I may provoke those who are of my flesh (fellow countrymen), and might save some of them. If their rejection means reconciliation for the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? If the first piece is holy, the lump is also holy. If the root is holy, so are the branches. Some of the branches are broken off. You, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them. Therefore you partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree with them. Do not boast against the branches. But if you boast, you do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. They were broken off because of unbelief! You stand by faith! Do not be conceited but be reverent. God did not spare the natural branches and he will not spare you! Observe both God's kindness and severity. Severity is for those who fail to continue. But kindness is for you as long as you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you will be cut off. If they do not continue in unbelief they will be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again. If you were cut out of the olive tree that is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a garden olive tree: how much more could these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? I do not want you to be ignorant of this secret, lest you should be wise in your own conceits (estimation). Blindness has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the nations comes in. In this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: The deliverer will come out of Zion and will remove ungodliness from Jacob. For this is my covenant with them, when I shall take away their sins. Concerning the good news, they are enemies for your sakes. With reference to the chosen ones, they are beloved for the fathers' sake. The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. In times past you have not believed (did not obey) God. Yet you have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so these also do not believe now. Through the mercy shown they also may obtain mercy. For God has stopped all disobedience so he might show mercy to all.

Abraham believed God and Jehovah considered his faith as his righteousness. (Genesis 15:6) You know that those who have faith are sons of Abraham. The Scripture revealed ahead of time, that God justified the people of the nations by faith. He preached the good news beforehand to Abraham. So then those who have faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham. Those who are of the works of the Law are under a curse. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the Law, by obeying them. The fact that the Law justifies no man before God is evident. The righteous will live by faith. The Law is not based on faith. He that does them will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. It is written; Cursed is everyone who is hung on a stake. This way the blessing of Abraham might come upon the nations through Christ Jesus and we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

God arms me with strength. Your perfect way sets me free. You make me sure-footed as a deer. You keep me safe on the mountains. You train me for battle, so that I can use the strongest bow. read more.

For I am the apostle to the nations and I glorify (honor) (praise) (celebrate) my ministry. If by any means I may provoke those who are of my flesh (fellow countrymen), and might save some of them. For what does it profit a man if he gain the whole world, and lose or forfeit his own self?

We all growl like bears. We coo like doves. We hope for justice, but there is none. We hope for salvation, but it is far from us.

Salvation is far from the wicked for they do not seek your statutes.

So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. He will appear the second time without sin to those who look to him for their salvation.

With joy (gladness) you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

For Zion's sake I will not remain silent. For Jerusalem's sake I will not rest until its righteousness shines like the sunrise and its salvation burns brightly like a torch.

The moth will eat them up like a garment. The worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever! My salvation will last through all generations.

Those who have wisdom (insight) will shine like the brightness of the firmament. They turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

You receive your salvation as the outcome of your faith.

You are protected by God's power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and establish a willing spirit in me.
