But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, For what end is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for a considerable sum, and given to the poor.
Then said one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, who was preparing to betray him, Wherefore was not this aromatic ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?
