Now they who had been scattered abroad by the distress which arose about Stephen, travelled as far as Phenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching to none but Jews only. Some indeed preach Christ even through envy and strife; but some through good will. The one preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? still every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
Some indeed preach Christ even through envy and strife; but some through good will. The one preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? still every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation, through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ: According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall be ashamed in nothing, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also, Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I am to live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour, and what I should chuse, I know not.
