If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.
The underworld is naked before God; the place of destruction lies uncovered.
You will not abandon me to Sheol; you will not allow your faithful follower to see the Pit.
If you strike him with the rod, you will deliver him from death.

Death and Destruction are before the Lord -- how much more the hearts of humans!

"Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Then Jesus traveled throughout towns and villages, teaching and making his way toward Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, will only a few be saved?" So he said to them, "Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
