Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: but he, that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, hath both the Father and the Son. Now if any one come unto you, and bringeth not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, nor wish him success: for he, that biddeth him welcome, is partaker of his evil deeds.




I wrote to you in an epistle, not to associate with whoremongers: but I did not mean not at all with the whoremongers of this world, or the covetous, or rapacious, or idolaters: since ye must then go out of the world. But now I have written to you, not to associate with him, if any one, that is called a brother, be a whoremonger, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or rapacious; with such a one no not to eat. read more.
For what have I to do to judge those that are without? and do not ye judge those that are within? But those who are without, God judgeth: and therefore put away the wicked one from among you.

These things teach and exhort. If any one teach otherwise, and adhere not to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but is delirious about questions and strifes of words: from which cometh envy, contention, calumnies, wicked suspicions, perverse debates of men corrupted in mind, and void of truth, accounting gain to be godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
