He that reproves a scoffer gets for himself shame: and he that rebukes a wicked man gets himself injury. Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate you: rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. read more.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

He that says unto the wicked, you are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake you shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he help the evil doers: Till he fills your mouth with laughing, and your lips with rejoicing. They that hate you shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked will come to nothing.

But you are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. Therefore will I number you to the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not hear; but did evil before my eyes, and did choose that in which I delighted not. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed:

He that reproves a scoffer gets for himself shame: and he that rebukes a wicked man gets himself injury.

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon you: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, you are our gods.

For shame has devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. We lie down in our shame, and our disgrace covers us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
